When in town from San Francisco, Acting Coach Andrew Utter likes to have coffee at my favorite downtown hangout ‘Lost Souls’. It is there we met up and did an interview about his acting school, ‘The Mother of Invention’.

With an extensive theatre directing background that spans from Duke to Berlin to Yale, Andrew is raw, intense, intelligent and very committed to his craft. The actor in me felt in the presence of someone who breathes acting, theater and ‘a way of being’… it was very inspiring to get some insights into Andrew’s mind.
