I was fortunate enough to catch Independent filmmaker Steve Balderson while he was in L.A. a couple of weeks ago promoting his latest film ‘Watch Out’. We sat down at the Hollywood Hills Hotel and I wanted to know the secret to making movies outside of the system.

While it would take hours to really lay down Steve’s law, I thought I’d give my readers a taste of what a true independent filmmaker is all about. Steve has shot numerous award-winning feature films, all in his hometown of Wamego, Kansas. “It’s a family affair”, Steve says followed by a warm smile.
